What guides my decisions
Be practical. I start with the difference we need to make and the resources we have. Sometimes, the right move is to make an existing solution available to more teams. Sometimes, we need to build what is missing.
Share the thinking. When a team understands why a decision was made, it can adapt the plan as circumstances change. And what one team learns can make the next project easier.
Be dependable. I agree the expected outcome and the resources required with the sponsor. With the teams, I set short milestones so we can see progress, raise concerns early and decide what comes next.

Children’s safety and wellbeing are especially close to my heart, wherever they live. That concern extends to anyone facing hardship.
